Situated 160 km south of the equator, Nairobi is the capital of Kenya and boasts one of the finest climates in the world. This modern, cosmopolitan city is the regional headquarter for many African and Indian Ocean businesses. With delegates attracted here from around the world, they come for the friendliness of the people, the modern hotel facilities, and the vast array of fascinating options available throughout the city. Although the ‘City in the sun’ is relatively young by global standards, it has fascinating history capturing explorers, missionaries, wars, cultural diversity, and politics etc, each leaving their mark on the city center in some way.

Ashnil Mara Camp is a large resort-style tented safari lodge in Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve. The camp overlooks the confluence of the Mara and Olkeju Rivers, with forty luxury tents set amongst the riverine forest. This is a fairly new addition to the region, with a modern feel and more of a hotel atmosphere than that of a traditional and remote small safari camp. Having said that, it will appeal to those who appreciate an upbeat family-friendly lodge with all the modern facilities and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that the entire property is fenced.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA NATIONAL GAME RESERVE
You will not want to miss a single moment of your day in the Masai Mara, so we suggest an early wake-up call this morning. The early morning game drive often offers you the very best chance to see an excellent variety of wildlife on the move in the cool of the dawn. In between, you will have the option of visiting a local Masai Village where you will be able to interact and learn more about the colorful culture of this nomadic pastoralist community.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is in the southwestern part of Kenya and forms part of the greater eco-system that encompasses the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Masai Mara is one of the best-known and most visited reserves in Africa. The park is surrounded by concession areas and tribal lands of the Masai tribespeople. These are unfenced from the Mara and act as a buffer zone for the National Park and form part of the migration area. The Masai Mara consists of open savannah, rolling grasslands, and undulating hills. July to September sees the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle coming from the plains of the Serengeti. Driven by dry conditions in the Serengeti and led by lightning and thunder to the north, huge herds of mammals cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach Mara's grasslands.
